Be Prepared

Lewis Caroll said, "If you don't know where you are going, every road leads you there." Truer words couldn't have been spoken when it comes to media interviews. The media is a vehicle for getting out campaign and organizational messages. If you don't have a clear sense of what you want to convey, how the headline should read, and what you want people to know about your issue, then the chance that you will be satisfied with the result of the interview is slim.

Be prepared - That's the best way to go into media interviews. This section tells you how to prepare. The bottom line is, successful interviews come from practice.

It is highly recommended that you read the 5 General Guidelines for a SUCCESSFUL Interview.
